Warm-Up Treadmill Workout

27 Jan

A big blogging challenge is coming up with a title for every post. It can’t be too long, but can’t be too short. It needs to get the point across yet be unique. And don’t you dare mislead! So I might have broken a cardinal ‘title rule’ with this one. This Warm-Up Treadmill Workout certainly isn’t intended to mislead, but it can mean a lot of things to a lot of people!

This treadmill circuit is the perfect warm-up for every session at the gym. These 15 minutes of intervals will increase your heart rate and warm up your body!

This “warm-up” workout can mean just that. A little jump start routine to get the rest of your workout going. But it also could mean a hardcore, heart-blasting session. It could mean a quick and effective lunch-break workout. It could mean an “I love Physical Kitchness/I hate Physical Kitchness” workout. It really depends on your fitness levels (or the amount of happy pills you took today).

I created this little number at the gym when I wanted a quick, 15-minute warm-up on the treadmill before I hit the weight room. It’s fun, fast, and gets the job done. Regardless if you are looking for a warm-up, a challenge, or a quick sweat session, this treadmill circuit will be whatever you want it to be. Now if only men would follow suit. KIDDING husband! 😉

Check out the image below for this “Best Treadmill Workout Because Physical Kitchness is the Best Blog EVAAAA!!!” Ummm, sorry wrong title. This Warm-Up Treadmill Workout (ugh the other title had so much more oomph!)

15 minutes on the treadmill never went so fast. If you’d like a full workout on the treadmill, simply repeat this circuit or try this Advanced Treadmill Workout!

This "warm-up" treadmill workout can be just that - a 15-minute warm-up OR it could be a quick, effective, and challenging treadmill circuit. Try this the next time you are ready to work at the gym!

What’s your favorite way to warmup for your workout session?

O the treadmill…I just can’t do it. Not run, but I love walking on a killer incline!

Haha, I love it! You got me with your title because nobody ever posts warm-up workouts! I’m going to give this a try. My poor warm-ups don’t normally get any special treatment, just something steady and boring.

So glad Leslie! My warm-ups are always the same, boring jog. It’s nice to mix it up once in awhile!

I use my treadmill often for a quick warm up. Keep it simple 🙂

I do too Jill! Although it’s usually just a boring jog. This spices things up a bit! 😉

Look at that incline!! Great way to get those legs warmed up 🙂 I don’t warm up on the treadmill often…I usually choose the rowing machine because it really gets my heart rate up while being easy on my knees.

Oh the rowing machine is killer! That’s an entire workout in itself, not just a warm up!

Ohh I love this. I always warm up on the treadmill (pre-foot problems), definitely using this as soon as I am back to running!!!

Thinking of you as you recover!! Whenever I’ve had nagging injuries I always walk at a killer incline to warm up. Sometimes the up and down motion of jogging on the joints can be rough! (WOW I sound like such an old lady)
