Salads On The Go

Lettuce, nuts, fruit, oh my! Salads are such a simple concept, but sometimes creating salads with multiple and complimentary elements, that keep you fueled, and take on the go can be more of a chore to make than they are worth. That’s why when life gets crazy, I reach for portable, pre-made salads like elevAte, to help me bring my favorite salads with me when I’m on the go.

Portable, pre-packaged salads are a great way to eat healthy on the go!

It’s no secret that salads give a big dose of daily nutrients and are a super healthy way to eat. But when you’re trying to lead an active lifestyle – whether it’s hiking, gym time, and yoga after work OR taking the kids to soccer, chasing a toddler, and working your bulging biceps bringing in bags of groceries, salads may not be the easiest option to grab and go. Let’s face it, salads aren’t typically the first thought for convenience food. Buuuuuut they are. They really are!

Gone are the days of assembling your bed of lettuce in a tupperware, adding chopped veggies or fruit, searching the pantry for a few nuts to add for crunch, cookin’ up some protein or grating fresh cheese, then putting your dressing in a separate container so the salad doesn’t get soggy all day. THEN grabbing a fork and finding a bag to transport all your containers and utensils. Too.much.work.

So when I found these Ready Pac elevAte salads at Costco, I was like, “Come to momma!” (and no, I wasn’t talking to my toddler because he wasn’t with me that day)….sweet shopping freedom!

Costco ElevAate Portable Salads. Healthy, Easy, and Tasty!

Packed with antioxidant rich ingredients, nutrient-dense greens, gluten-free/vegan/organic options, and non-GMO produce, I was totally drawn to this product. But if I’m going to be honest, it was really the convenient way these super-food salads are packaged and ready to eat (because I’m lazy and tired). True life: I’m a mom.

Thinking of trying a few yourself? Here are some great ways to take your portable salads anywhere, for any event!

Grab and Go!
elevAte portable salads are perfect for a healthy lunch on the go. This nutty cranberry superfood salad is organic, non-GMO, and gluten free.

Bringing an eleVate nutty cranberry superfood salad for lunch is so insanely convenient when you can simply buy, open, dump, and eat. Even the fork is included right in this beautiful bowl! It could be the easiest way to get in all your leafy greens, heart-healthy nuts, antioxidant-lovin’ cranberries, and calcium-rich feta cheese.

Portable Mason Jar Snacking
Mason jar salads are the perfect nutrient-dense snack when you're on the go. Using pre-packaged salad brands like eleVate can help you whip these up in a flash!

Salads for snacks? Believe it. Throwing all the components of Ready Pac elevAte salads into a small or medium mason jar, grabbing that delicious raspberry vinaigrette, and using the oh so scientific method of drizzle and shake before consumption is a great pre or post-workout snack you can throw in your gym bag and go!

Dinner Party Made Easy
Invited over for dinner? Need a side to share? Using pre-packaged salads can make life SO easy and impress all dinner guests!

Everyone has been invited to a dinner party or BBQ where it’s absolutely essential you bring a side to share. When you’re pressed on time but don’t want to look like the goof bringing a bag of chips or grocery store cupcakes, grabbing a pre-packaged salad and taking a minute or two of presentation prep can leave your friends thinking that you’re a natural Martha (Stewart). Even if your house is a mess and the flowers in the dining room have been dead for a week….

Healthy eating on the go CAN be easy and convenient. Be sure to check out eleVate on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for other ideas and yummy varieties!
