Oxymorons galore – this dairy free, paleo strawberry cheesecake milkshake is as decadent as it sounds, but without the cheese and cow’s milk (plus sweetened naturally). It’s creamy and sweet, cool and delicious. When you’re craving a drive-thru milk shake, you’ll be glad you have this super easy and squeaky clean recipe instead!
Sonic, your marketing just gets me. I don’t know what it is, but every time I see those two dudes enjoying a milkshake and exchanging in silly banter in their car I just want to drive there, order a blended ice cream treat the size of my face and do the same thing.
I’m not even sure if it’s genius marketing per say, or just my deep desire to have 15 minutes to myself, quiet in the car, enjoying a simple pleasure. I mean, if I actually HAD ‘me’ time, would I really crave sitting in a metal box and sipping on an overpriced sugar gut bomb? Likely not.
See, mommying makes you all delusional about stuff like that. You find yourself looking out the window saying, “Man, if only I could walk on that sidewalk with my headphones, ALONE, listening to an audiobook” or “Gee, a 10 hour road trip sounds so heavenly, maybe I can even enjoy the entire cup of coffee while it’s hot”.
I love my boys. Like, I’d take a #2 pencil through my eyeball for them, but being a mom is not for the faint of heart. It makes us a little cray cray.
Sometimes milkshakes make all things better. Especially this paleo strawberry cheesecake milkshake.
I’m not saying “hey moms, tough day? Reward yourself with food!” I’ve been known a time or two to stress-eat an entire bag of chips when the little one screams bloody murder at bedtime during those fun ‘sleep regression’ parties. But it’s not something I encourage.
I do encourage balance, and enjoying a cool, summer treat when you just sorta feel like it. And this paleo strawberry cheesecake milkshake is exactly that. Plus SO DARN EASY to make, with simple, squeaky clean ingredients. You won’t believe there isn’t ice cream in this pink concoction of blended heaven.
All you need is almond milk, strawberries, raw cashews, a frozen banana, and lemon juice. THAT.IS.IT. You’ll love how creamy all that is when combined and ready for belly love. It might be my new summer favorite.
Keep fighting the good fight mommies! And if I see you in the Sonic drive-thru, I’ll salute you and shoot that ‘I understand’ look right your way.

I’m so happy to hear this!
I would love to try this. My son is allergic to cashews. Could I use almonds?
Hmmmm I worry almonds will alter the taste quite a bit – they aren’t as mild as cashews. I’d probably just use almond milk – it will be thinner but still yummy!
