Healthier Coffee Frappuccino

29 Sep

Save money and enjoy this healthier coffee frappuccino at home! A dairy free caffeine treat with 36% less sugar that traditional frappuccinos, and just as delicious! Naturally sweetened with simple ingredients.

Healthier Coffee Frappuccino Dairy Free

Treating myself to a Starbucks frappuccino was a regular occurrence in college.

Taking a trip down memory lane for second – remember packing your backpack, grabbing a sweet drink, and spending your entire Sunday locked in a library room with your Discman and book of ‘study’ CDs you burned from your boyfriend’s computer?

(Coldplay and John Mayer of course)

I digress, it’s really all about the frappuccino.

Fast forward just a few years or so, as I pack my diaper bag and spend all day locked in my car running errands with my iPhone playlist ‘worship’ or ‘kid-friendly’ songs all morning…

I love making this quick,  healthier coffee frappuccino instead of waiting in a long line at the Starbucks drive-thru.

Low Sugar Frappuccino

Plus this version doesn’t give me that sugar-rush headache creep in 20 minutes later.

This naturally sweetened, dairy free version has 36% LESS sugar than a traditional frappuccino and costs a fraction of price.

I call that a win (and wish my broke-college-self only knew)!

Trust me on this one – the combo of medjool dates, frozen banana, cinnamon, and turmeric (seriously, just trust me) is soooo delightful. And it’s easier than you think to blend up this caffeine treat together in a flash.

Healthy Coffee Frappuccino Ingredients

All ya gotta to is throw everything in a blender, add a few handfuls of ice and enjoy this lightened-up frappuccino with a nice frothy top!

Dairy Free & Naturally Sweetened

You can even add a few extra elements like pure vanilla, pumpkin spice, protein powder, or a dash of peppermint extract. It’s one of those recipes you can play with to your liking, and come back to over and over.

This dairy free, naturally sweetened healthier coffee frappuccino is THE drink every post-college-grad-turned-mom needs in their life!

I don’t drink coffee but I bet this would be awesome with black tea. Thanks for the inspiration

Chrissa, are you talking canned coconut milk or the kind in the carton (aka a milk alternative)?

Hi Carrie! I used coconut milk from a carton for this recipe 🙂
