Fried Mahi Fish Bites (paleo + whole30)

These fried mahi bites are a hit with kids and adults. A healthy fish meal that's paleo, Whole30 compliant, and gluten free. So easy too!

These Whole30 compliant, fried mahi fish bites are grain free, paleo, and kids love them!




  1. Using kitchen shears, cut the mahi mahi fillets into roughly 1.5″x1.5″ cubes. Set aside
  2. Combine the tapioca flour, almond flour, onion powder, and salt in a large bowl or container
  3. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl or container
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high and add the coconut oil
  5. Working in batches, place the mahi bites into the whisked eggs, then into the flour mixture, shaking the bowl or container to coat the fish evenly
  6. Transfer the fish into the hot coconut oil and fry for 1 minute, then using kitchen tongs, flip the bites and fry an additional 45 seconds – 1 minute. From there, flip the fish bites on the sides not yet fried, for roughly 30 seconds, just until all the sides of every piece are golden. You may have to work in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan
  7. Cut the lime in half and spritz with lime juice before serving
