Air Fryer BBQ Meatballs

11 Aug

What I’m loving lately are these keto, Whole30 Air Fryer BBQ Meatballs. This gluten free and dairy free recipe is a hit with hungry families (and picky kids too). Simple ingredients and dinner in just minutes. You gotta try these as soon as humanly possible!

It’s weird being a mom of three now. Just when I was managing feeling outnumbered when my husband is at work and my boys were home with me…BOOM, a baby girl and outnumbered us regardless if hubs is there or not.

It’s a wonderful, joyful, and a very oddly constructed routine of controlled chaos.

It’s throwing snacks at hungry kids I wouldn’t have even bought four years ago.

It’s a messier house and lots of shuffling crap around just to shorta, kinda look put together.

It’s a lot of tag-teaming and calendar reminders and making sure each child feels loved and gets enough attention.

It’s a lot, but it’s really flippin’ beautiful too. I feel burned out and yet so insanely fulfilled and grateful.

So that is three kids in a nutshell (anyone who wants to follow along but sure to check out my daily musings over on Instagram).

And these are my keto-friendly, whole30 Air Fryer BBQ Meatballs.

Because fancy dinners with lots of ingredients that take a long time are downright comical to me at this stage in life.

That’s why I love gathering just a few simple ingredients in a bowl, rolling them into balls (sometimes that’s the only therapy I get in a day), and throwing them in my air fryer so dinner is ready in just minutes.

Add a side of veggies and a big slice of buttered bread (something my four-year-ago-self probably wouldn’t have done either, but….hungry boys), and voila.

Keto Air Fryer Meatballs

My family absolutely adores these gluten free, dairy free meatballs. And I love making batches to freeze for later or eat up as leftovers. They are super versatile and sooooo delicious! I personally love the slightly crispy outside and tender insides of these baaaalls.

Whole30 Air Fryer Meatballs

Keto friendly and Whole30 compliant air fryer BBQ meatballs. Made with simple ingredients and air-fried to tender perfection in just minutes!

  • Author: Physical Kitchness
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 12 minutes
  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 25-30 meatballs 1x
Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a large bowl
  2. Mix to incorporate but do not over-mix (I suggest mixing with hands)
  3. Roll into roughly 2″ balls
  4. Line the meatballs in the bottom of a lightly sprayed air fryer pan – spreading them evenly so they do not touch. You may have to do this in 2-3 batches depending on the size of the air fryer
  5. Set air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 12 minutes, flipping the meatballs half way through
  6. Serve with more BBQ sauce on top if desired
